Video interview with StreetScooter CTO Fabian Schmitt

Graduate engineer Fabian Schmitt is CTO (Chief Technical Officer) at StreetScooter GmbH in Aachen, a subsidiary of Deutsche Post. In addition to all-electric vans, it also produces electric cargo bikes.

Employees use the SIMSme Business Messenger for internal communication. Thus, the company relies on secure and simple team interaction via chat app.

In the video interview, Fabian Schmitt explains why he opted for SIMSme Business, where the Business Messenger is used in the company, and what advantages it has over traditional email. The CTO is particularly pleased that his team is now communicating “more, faster, and more efficiently.” His employees have become more communicative and appreciate the informal and transparent conversation.

studied mechanical engineering at RWTH Aachen. After graduating in 2008, he worked as a research assistant at the Institute for Automotive Engineering at RWTH Aachen until 2010. From 2009 to 2010 he was also head of the Electromobility Office at RWTH Aachen University. In 2010, Schmitt moved to StreetScooter GmbH, where he has worked since – first as chief engineer for the complete vehicle and since 2015 as CTO of StreetScooter GmbH.
